User Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account access. You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose, to harass others, to submit false information, or to attempt to circumvent our security measures.

Donations

Donations through /donate support Nora Foundation platform work only. Gifts to the Nora Foundation support nonprofit platform work—tools, hosting, research capacity, documentation, and grant-based access—not the separate For Nora litigation fund. determination is pending with the IRS. Donations should not be treated as tax-deductible unless and until that approval is granted. Receipts are provided for all foundation donations. For Nora is a separate litigation campaign and is not tax-deductible.Foundation donations are generally non-refundable; if you believe an error occurred, contact us at hello@norafoundation.org within 30 days and we will work with you toward a resolution via Stripe's refund process.

Intellectual Property

Our software is open-source under permissive licenses (see our GitHub repository for details). The Nora Foundation name, logo, and brand assets are owned by the Foundation and may not be used without written permission. Content you submit (research queries, messages) remains yours; by submitting it you grant us a limited license to use it to provide the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Nora Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We do not warrant that our services will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@norafoundation.org. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will post the updated terms on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email where feasible.
